Parade of Homes is on Pinterest

Since its launch in March 2010, over 10 million people are using the virtual pinboard, Pinterest. The social media site is attracting a lot of attention, especially from a female demographic interested in home decor, recipes and DIY ideas. For this reason, Pinterest is best suited for a very specific niche, which is why not all businesses are poised for Pinterest.

Home architecture and home decor/design from BATC builders and remodelers can have a prominent place on the Pinterest scene.

 The Basics: What is Pinterest
Pinterest is a virtual pinboard that can hold all of the pictures that inspire you. Finding material to “pin” happens by searching the web on blogs and favorite websites! See something inspiring? “Pin” it to your “board.” You can create multiple boards to help organize your ideas. You might have a board with “home decor ideas,” or “recipe ideas,” for instance.

How Does a Business Get Credit for the Images that are "Pinned" from their website?
When someone else likes one of your pins, they can “re-pin” your image to their board. Credit is redirected to the site where the image came from by simply clicking on the pin.
